RC522 Chip Introduction

The MF RC522 is a highly integrated read/write card chip for 13.56MHz contactless communication. It is a low-voltage, low-cost, and small-sized contactless read/write card chip, making it a good choice for the development of smart meters and portable handheld devices. The MF RC522 utilizes advanced modulation and demodulation concepts, fully integrating all types of passive contactless communication methods and protocols at 13.56MHz. It supports 14443A-compatible transponder signals. The digital section processes ISO14443A frames and performs error detection. Furthermore, it supports the fast CRYPTO1 encryption algorithm for verifying MIFARE series products. The MF RC522 supports higher-speed contactless communication for the MIFARE series, with bidirectional data transfer rates up to 424kbit/s. As a new member of the 13.56MHz highly integrated read/write card chip family, the MF RC522 shares many similarities with the MF RC500 and MF RC530, while also possessing many unique features and differences. It communicates with the host in SPI mode, which helps to reduce wiring, shrink PCB board size, and lower costs.

Introduction to RFID Module

The MF522-AN module is easy to use and low in cost, suitable for users developing equipment, card readers, and other applications, as well as users who need to design/produce RFID card terminals. This module can be directly installed into various card reader molds. The module operates on 3.3V and can be directly connected to any user's CPU motherboard via a simple SPI interface with just a few lines, ensuring stable and reliable operation and a long reading distance.
